Pop star Lady Gaga will debut her new single from her upcoming third album "Artpop" at the MTV Video Music Awards here Aug 25.
The information about the other performers will be announced later.
The nominations for the awards are divided into 15 categories - video of the year, best hip-hop video, best male video, best female video, best pop video, artist to watch, best collaboration, best video with a social message, best rock video, best art direction, best direction, best choreography, best cinematography, best editing and best visual effects.
While, singer Justin Timberlake and musician duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis lead the nominations for the awards eve by being nominated for six awards each, singer Bruno Mars is up for four awards, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
US rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars, R&B singer-songwriter Robin Thicke and singers Miley Cyrus and Pink are up for three each.
The awards ceremony will air live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn here.
