Ganga Ram Agarwal, an officer of the Indian railway services of electrical engineering (IRSEE), has been posted as the new secretary of the railway board, the railways ministry said on Friday.
He takes over from P.C. Gajbhiye who superannuated on Friday. Prior to this, Agarwal was working as chief electrical engineer, central railway.
A Graduate from IIT Roorkee, Agarwal did his masters in electrical engineering from the University of Applied Sciences, Darmstadt, Germany, and joined the IRSEE in 1981. He also did master's in business administration in finance management.
