Delhiites woke up to a dark and rainy Monday morning with the minimum temperature recorded at 14.8 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average.
The Met Office has forecast more rain and a overcast day ahead.
"Till Monday 5.30 a.m., Delhi received 56.8mm rainfall. It is likely to rain more. The day ahead is also likely to be overcast," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
The maximum temperature of the day is likely to hover around 18 degrees Celsius.
Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 100 percent.
Delhi's adjoining areas, such as Gurgaon and Ghaziabad, have also been receiving rainfall for the past 24 hours, the Met Office said.
Sunday's maximum temperature was 19 degrees Celsius, eight notches below the season's average and the minimum temperature settled at 15.2 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average.
