Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar on Saturday took a dig at Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, saying those who demand security should not speak in aggressive tones.
During his daylong visit to Goa on Saturday, Thackeray said the BJP will lose the 2017 assembly elections to the Shiv Sena and the new political outfit mentored by rebel Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader Subhash Velingkar.
"I got calls today (Saturday) for end-to-end security for him (Thackeray). I said those who are eligible will get it. Does someone who has come here to drive us away need security? If he is so scared, how will he drive us away," Parsekar told media persons.
Before meeting Velingkar, the Sena chief said: "We both follow the same ideology. We are in the process of working out (poll) arrangement. It will happen."
During his meeting with party workers earlier, Thackeray said the Sena will contest 20 of the 40 assembly seats in Goa.
