Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin has said that the capital football club "must be in the best possible shape in Milan" during the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday against Real Madrid.
The Uruguayan defender on Monday assured Atletico's fans of his group's readiness, and urged his teammates to control their anxiety and nervousness caused by fans wanting them to win, reports Efe.
"We must get the best from ourselves both physically and mentally and control our anxiety if we want to win," Godin said .
When asked about his reason for staying at Atletico despite receiving several offers from other clubs, Godin said that he is a fan of the club and wants to repay the people's love to him as a member of Rojiblancos.
