Veteran comedian Goundamani is the latest actor to fall prey to a celebrity death hoax. The 77-year-old is absolutely fine, his publicist said in a statement.
"We are not sure who is spreading these baseless rumours, but Goundamani sir is absolutely fine. We request his fans and media to not dwell on it," read a statement from the publicist.
Last seen on screen in Tamil thriller "Vaaimai", he is busy reading scripts.
"He's very active and is looking forward to continue acting. He's currently busy finalising on a project among the scripts that have been offered to him," the statement added.
Goundamani, whose illustrious career spans over three decades, has starred in over 750 Tamil films.
