The government here on Wednesday held the first round of tripartite talks with representatives of the Manipur government and two major militant groups in Manipur, an official statement said.
The outfits are Kuki National Organisation and the United People's Front of Manipur.
"The first round of talks was held in New Delhi today (Wednesday) in a cordial atmosphere. The KNO and the UPF voiced their demands in the presence of senior representatives of the Manipur government," the statement said.
