Two policemen were injured on Monday in a grenade attack by two militants in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district, police said.

A joint checkpost (naka) was set up police and the army at Juhama in Baramulla for routine area domination, a police officer said here.

Shortly after 6 p.m., a motorcycle which was coming from the opposite side made an about turn on seeing the checkpost and as they were asked to stop, "one of the two militants riding the motorcycle hurled a grenade" towards the deployed security personnel.

Two policemen received minor injuries in the blast, the official said, adding that the area has been cordoned off for searches.
