Gujarat Lions all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was on Monday reprimanded for showing dissent at the umpire's decision during their Indian Premier Lague (IPL) match against Kings XI Punjab.
Punjab defeated Gujarat by 23 runs here on Sunday.
Jadeja was unhappy and expressed his displeasure when he was given out off the bowling of left-arm spinner Axar Patel in the 11th over of their innings.
"Mr. Jadeja admitted to the level 1 offence (Article 2.1.5 of the IPL Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials) and accepted the sanction," an IPL statement said.
"For Level 1 breaches of the IPL Code of Conduct, the Match Referee's decision is final and binding."
