Formula One World champion Lewis Hamilton congratulated his team Mercedes-AMG Petronas for winning the 2018 Laureus World Sports Team of the Year award here.
The Formula One champions defeated European champions Real Madrid and the NBA champion Golden State Warriors to clinch the prestigious award here on Tuesday.
"So proud of our team winning @LaureusSport's World Team of the Year. 1,500 people all with a shared vision. Honoured to be on this journey with you @MercedesAMGF1," Hamilton tweeted.
Other nominations in the category included the NFL's New England Patriots, the French Davis Cup team and New Zealand America's Cup team.
