Filmmaker Hansal Mehta says that he has not only directed "Shahid" but has also given a voice over in the soon to be released film.
Starring Rajkumar Yadav, "Shahid" is based on the true story of human rights activist and lawyer Shahid Azmi, who was killed in his office in 2010 by unidentified assailants.
"Yes, it is true that I have done a voice over in the film. It was an impulsive decision to record my voice so that the edit can happen smoothly. We tried some other voices for this role but mine somehow sounded the most menacing. So we decided to keep it," said Mehta.
Set to release Oct 18, "Shahid" has been acclaimed at film fests across the world.
