Atletico Madrid head coach Diego Simeone has said that "it's hard to find another Tiago" hoping for a quick recovery for the Portuguese international ahead of the end of the football season, after it was announced that he will be sidelined for four months due to injury.
Tiago underwent successful surgery on Sunday to treat the right tibia fracture he sustained during the match against Espanyol last Saturday in week 13 of La Liga, reports Efe.
"Clearly, it's hard to find another Tiago. At 34 years old there is experience that no one has at 26 or 27," Simeone said of the midfielder on Monday.
"We will work with the guys we have in that position, Koke, Saul, Matias Kranevitter or Gabi. We will work to see who does better," the Argentine coach added.
