Actor Kit Harington of "Game of Thrones" fame never imagined playing an action hero, but that is exactly what he will be seen doing in his upcoming film "Pompeii". It felt surreal, he says.
For the role of a gladiator in 79 AD, he had to put in a lot of effort especially because he has never perceived himself as a hero who would go kicking and punching people.
"I never expected to be a sort of action hero per se, and that seems to be what I am right at this moment," Harington said in a statement.
"It's a complete surprise to me. I always played the young boy at drama school, so being an action hero is very surreal for me. But I'm enjoying it," added the actor, whose role in 3D action-adventure-romantic drama "Pompeii" required him to beef up.
"Pompeii" is distributed by PVR Pictures in India and it releases Feb 21.
