"Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" is set to be staged on Broadway, according to producer Colin Callender.
The two-part play -- which is set 19 years after author J.K. Rowling's books and spin-off movies -- has its official opening at the West End here on Saturday and producers Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender are working on plans to stage the show in New York, reports dailymail.co.uk.
"We've got to take a very big breath now and get through the weekend," Callender said.
"Then we'll deal with what the next stage looks like - and hopefully Broadway will be part of that," he added.
The play sees Potter as an "overworked" employee of the Ministry of Magic and centers on his and Ginny Weasley's son Albus and Rowling recently pleaded with fans not to spoil the plot of the play for others.
