At least three school head masters have been suspended in Haryana's Fatehabad district for not providing mid-day meals in their institutions, an official Tuesday said.
The state education department has also issued show-cause notice to two other teachers, a government spokesperson here said.
Recently, 12 teams of the education department conducted surprise checks in various schools in Fatehabad district and found that these head masters were not providing mid-day meals in their schools.
"During investigation, it was found that no mid-day meals were cooked in primary schools of Chandokalan, Dhani Dhand and Tamaspura villages and the team took action against the defaulters," the spokesperson said.
It is mandatory to provide mid-day meal to students as per the directions issued by the state government.
