Those who walk into the five star hotel Hilton Chennai would be surprised to see a small four-wheeled push cart loaded with different varieties of mangoes.
"It is mango season now. This is the time for the foreigners to taste different kinds of mangoes in India. We are offering an opportunity to our guests to savour the fleshy and juicy fruit," a hotel spokesperson told IANS.
According to the official, the mango varieties that are available for sale are Alphonso, Banganapalli, Senthura among others. The mango retail sales will go on there till June 15.
The hotel's 24-hour cafe Est also offers special mango based desserts like mango cheesecake, tropical ice cream cake, mango passion fruit cake, opera slice cake, mango caramel cake, mango ginger mousse, glazed mango sponge cake, upside down mango cake and a range of sorbets and kulfis.
