Higher parts of Himachal Pradesh Monday stayed below freezing point with Keylong, headquarters of Lahaul-Spiti district, being the coldest with a minimum temperature of minus 2.1 degrees Celsius, the season's lowest.
The local meteorological office said the minimum temperature plummeted by one to two degrees across the state despite no fresh snowfall or rain in the past 24 hours.
Kalpa in Kinnaur district saw a low of 2.2 degrees Celsius, while it was 2.6 degrees in picturesque tourist resort Manali and 10 degrees in Dharamsala.
The state capital Shimla saw a low of 8.5 degrees Celsius, while the maximum was 20.8 degrees.
The dry weather would continue till Wednesday, the weather office said.
