The hills of Himachal Pradesh experienced warm weather on Thursday, with Una town recording a high of 43.2 degrees Celsius, an official said.
"Temperatures soared due to the dry spell. Shimla recorded a maximum temperature of 28.5 degrees Celsius, four degrees above normal (average) for this time of the year," an official of the meteorological department here told IANS.
Dharamsala, the headquarters of the Tibetan government-in-exile, recorded 32.6 degrees Celsius, five notches above average.
Sundernagar in Mandi district recorded a maximum of 37.8 degrees Celsius, Bhuntar in Kullu district 34.5 degrees and Kalpa in Kinnaur district 22.6 degrees.
The Met department said there could be light rain or thundershowers in some parts of the state from Friday.
