TV actor Harshad Arora, seen as Zain in the popular daily soap "Beintehaa", hopes the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) that has emerged victorious in the Lok Sabha election, works for the country's betterment and performs better than Congress.
"BJP and Congress have been ruling our country. Both the parties have worked but have also done some goof-ups. Whatever development Congress has done so far, I hope BJP does better than that," the actor said here in an interview.
"People have lot of faith in BJP and that is why they have chosen Narendra Modi (its leader). I hope this will work," he added.
Modi led his party to a stunning victory, making the BJP the first non-Congress party since Independence to win a comfortable majority on its own in the 545-member Lok Sabha.
