It was yet another sunny and hot day in the capital Saturday as the maximum temperature settled three notches above average at 36.5 degrees Celsius. The Met office has forecast rains Sunday.
"The skies will remain partly cloudy tomorrow (Sunday) and rains may occur in some parts of the city," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum and minimum temperatures will hover around 36 and 27 degrees Celsius, added the official.
Saturday's minimum temperature was a notch above average at 26.7 degrees Celsius and the maximum humidity was recorded at 92 percent.
Friday's minimum temperature was 23.3 degrees Celsius, a notch below average for this time of year, and maximum temperature settled at a notch above average at 35 degrees Celsius.
Since the arrival of the monsoon, the city has recorded 749.2 mm of rainfall.
