Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri, who previously directed erotic thriller "Hate Story" says he has nothing to do with the film "Zid" and requested fans not to associate his name with it.

"I have been receiving messages from few people wishing me luck for 'Zid' but I only want to say I have got nothing to do with the film. Please don't associate my name with it," he told IANS.

The film has been produced by Anubhav Sinha and features actresses Priyanka and Parineeti Chopra's cousin Mannara along with Karanvir Sharma.

Agnihotri says that he had directed 60 per cent of the film but he walked out of project later due to certain differences.

"I left the film long back. Actually Anubhav Sinha gave me a Canadian DVD and said he has bought the rights of film 'Good Neighbors' so I got into it and started shooting then he told me let's make it into a erotic film. But what I was directing was a very sharp intelligent psychological thriller.

"I said how we can do this and he said no let's do it so I walked out then and there and started with my next project 'Junooniyat'," he said.

The director also says he doesn't want to get into any sought of fight and wish the team good luck.

"If I have to make an erotica, I will make an erotica but I don't want to harm the film. I asked them to do whatever you want to do with the film but please don't use my name. I don't want to fight. I want the film to do well," he said.

The film is slated for Nov 28 release.
