League leaders Bengaluru FC will lock horns with newcomers DSK Shivajians in an I-League encounter at the Kanteerava Stadium here on Wednesday.

The Shivajians are in the second last spot on the points table, but have registered their first win in the tournament by beating Mumbai FC 1-0 in their last outing. Hence, the win might have just boosted their confidence ahead of the Bengaluru clash.

Although the hosts lost their previous contest against Sporting Clube de Goa, their coach Ashley Westwood is aware of the talent in his team and would look to bag full points in front of their home crowd.

He would rely on his strikers who have had a good run so far. The likes of Sunil Chhetri, North Korean striker Kim Song-Yong and C.K. Vineeth have all been amongst the goals and one would not be surprised if DSK fail to contain the trio.

DSK have a balanced squad and were quite impressive in their last game. They would hope to continue with their new found momentum and strike at the heart of the Bengaluru defence whenever an opportunity arrives.

For such opportunities to come their way, the visitors will look up to the likes of Douhou Pierre and Mohammad Rafi. If DSK pull off an upset, they would jump up the ladder and rest on seven points, the same as that of Sporting Clube de Goa and Shillong Lajong.

On the other hand, Westwood would want his side to consolidate their position as it is getting crowded at the top with East Bengal and Mohun Bagan catching up fast.
