Former Brazil and Real Madrid coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo has guaranteed he will remain at Flamengo in 2015.
The 62-year-old said a verbal agreement with the Rio de Janeiro club's directors has already been reached, reports Xinhua.
"I don't have any doubt that I will stay," he said Friday. "I haven't signed yet but that will happen soon."
Luxemburgo joined Flamengo for the fourth time in July after the club won just one of its first 11 matches of the Brazilian Serie A season.
He has since led the club to a mid-table position in the league and the semi-finals of the Copa do Brasil, where they lost to Atletico Mineiro.
Luxemburgo coached Brazil from 1998 to 2000 and had an 11-month spell as the boss of Real Madrid in 2005.
He is the most successful manager in the history of Brazil's Serie A with five league titles.
