His name has been made fun of on social media, but actor Neil Nitin Mukesh says he is proud of it and feels blessed to be born in legendary singer Mukesh's family.
"People make fun of my name, but I am extremely proud. Tell me how many sons actually use their father's name in today's time and take their legacy forward," Neil told IANS over phone from Mumbai.
Neil is the son of veteran singer Nitin Mukesh and grandson of Mukesh.
"I am very blessed and honoured to be born in the Mukesh family. I am extremely proud to have my grandfather's and father's name on my shoulders," said the actor, who has recently joined hands with animal rights organisation People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India for a campaign against elephant joyrides.
