I want to be global icon: Alankrita Sahai

Alankrita Sahai has made her debut with "Love Per Square Foot", and says she wants to be a global icon for all the women.

"My dream is to be able to connect with everyone, make them laugh, make them cry and most importantly grow as an actor and win hearts across the globe. I want to be a global icon for the women in our country," Alankrita told IANS.

"My inspiration are Meryl Streep, Priyanka Chopra, Oprah Winfrey and Rekhaji," she added.

The Netflix Original film also stars Ratna Pathak Shah, Supriya Pathak, Raghubir Yadav, Rekha Bhardwaj, Vicky Kaushal and Angira Dhar, among others. The romantic comedy film is helmed by Anand Tiwari and produced by Ronnie Screwvala.

Talking about her role, she said: "I play Rashi Khurana. There are various shades to the character."

Alankrita wants to nourish her skills and "make a living out" of her craft.

As far as her future projects are concerned, she said: "I have two films in the pipeline. You will definitely find out soon."
