Premier League club Arsenal's striker Olivier Giroud has hit back at former gunner Thierry Henry, saying the latter needed something controversial as he is too "dull" as an expert.
Henry had put Giroud under the scanner after Arsenal played out a 0-0 stalemate against Chelsea at the Emirates, claiming Giroud lacks the skills to take the north London club to the Premier League title.
"I think Giroud is doing extremely well but can you win the league with him? I wouldn't think so," Henry had said.
"I heard he was saying too many dull things. That was a bomb and it had its desired effect," Giroud was quoted as saying by goal.com.
Giroud has not scored for Arsenal since the 4-1 victory over Liverpool in April.
