Nassau (Bahamas), Feb 18 (IANS/CMC) Thousands of tickets went on sale for the inaugural IAAF World Relays scheduled for May in the Bahamas.
The tickets include gold, silver, bronze level and general admission tickets for the May 24-25 event. The announcement was made during a press conference Monday to mark the 100-day countdown for the two-day meet.
"With tickets going on sale, I can guarantee that whatever ticket you decide to go for the event will leave a deep and lasting impression on you. The athletes who will be involved in this event are the fastest in the world and I urge everyone to take this chance to be there and to be a part of history in the making," said organising committee managing director Lionel Haven.
About 15,000 spectators are expected at the Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium to witness the relays to be attended by over 1,000 athletes from more than 40 countries.
