iBerry to launch smartphone with fingerprint sensor

Technology firm iBerry has launched Auxus Note 5.5 smartphone with fingerprint scanner that will be sold exclusively on eBay India from Aug 21.

Powered by Mediatek true octa-core processor, the Auxus Note 5.5 is equipped with an inbuilt fingerprint scanner on a 5.5" HD full lamination one-glass-solution (OGS) active matrix display with gorilla glass protection.

"With this launch iBerry India becomes the first Indian brand to launch an octa core smartphone with fingerprint scanner technology," said Feroz Ahmed, COO & co-founder of iBerry India.

Meant for budget-conscious Indian consumers, the smartphone will cost Rs.13,990 during the initial 10 day promotional offer, iBerry said in a statement.

For extreme lag-free performance, Auxus Note 5.5 comes with 2GB DDRIII RAM and a 16GB inbuilt memory which is further expandable up to 64GB using a MicroSD card.

The latest offering from iBerry also supports NFC (Near Field Communication), GPS (Global Positioning System) with assisted GPS (A-GPS).

"This new smartphone runs on Android Kitkat 4.4 and is powered by a 3200mah battery," iBerry said.

With the dedicated fingerprint scanner situated at the rear portion of the phone below the camera, users can now just swipe their fingers to unlock the phone with an option to configure up to three unique finger-prints.

'Harlequin LED' notification with seven different LED notification colours - red, green, blue, yellow, cyan, white and violet - adds to the exciting features of the phone.

With the help of this feature users can set different colours for different nature of notifications like calls, messages etc.

With just 7.8mm thickness, the phone will offer firm grip while holding in one's hand.

Alongside, iBerry India has also launched a tablet PC with 3G voice call facility - Auxus AX04i Tablet+Phone, which also runs on Android Kitkat 4.4 and is powered by 1.3GHz Dual Core CPU, GPS, 7" IPS display, 512MB RAM and a 3000mah battery.

Priced at Rs.6,490, Auxus AX04i will be available exclusively on eBay India starting Aug 21, iBerry said.
