For the upcoming Champions Trophy, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has named global chipmaker Intel as its 'Innovation Partner' to help coaches and players improve performance.
The tournament will be held in England and Wales between June 1 and June 18.
"We continue to focus on innovation and technology to enhance both the game and the experience of the fans. The innovations we're working with Intel on for the Champions Trophy 2017 are like nothing we've seen in the sport before," said David Richardson, Chief Executive ICC.
Intel will deploy a range of technologies at the event to bring a new level of data analytics to sports and use technology to train athletes and coaches, etc.
"As the official 'Innovation Partner' of the ICC Champions Trophy, we are excited to integrate Intel technology in this tournament", added James Carwana, General Manager, Intel Sports Group.
