Idea Cellular posted a net profit of Rs.809.26 crore in the July-September quarter of the current 2015-16 fiscal -- a marginal rise of seven per cent in net profit compared to the corresponding quarter of fiscal 2014-15, the company announced on Wednesday.
Net profit grew by Rs 53.38 crore in Q2 2015-16 against Rs 755.88 crore profit registered in the year-ago period, Idea announced in a regulatory filing.
Total operating income grew to Rs 8,689.06 crore from Rs 7,569.92 crore in the corresponding quarter of last year.
The company registered a total expenditure of Rs 7,170.09 crore in the quarter under review against Rs 6,258 crore in the Q2 2014-15.
