Actor Idris Elba suffered an asthma attack while he was on an airplane bound for South Africa. He was immediately rushed to a hospital.
The 41-year-old actor was supposed to fly to Johannesburg to attend a press conference for his new movie "Mandela: Long Walk of Freedom".
He was taken to the hospital from Heathrow airport and is reportedly recovering, reports contactmusic.com.
Producer Anant Singh hopes he will be healthy enough to attend the red carpet Sunday.
"Idris is in hospital after an asthma attack on the plane last night," Singh told reporters at a news conference.
Elba will be seen in the lead role in "Mandela: Long Walk of Freedom" and actress Naomie Harris will be seen in the supporting role as Winnie Mandela.
