British actor-rapper Idris Elba is reportedly planning an album inspired by John Luther, the character he played in crime drama "Luther".
John Luther was a conflicted police detective that Elba portrayed in the darkly absorbing BBC crime drama. Now the drama has been confirmed to return in a two-part special next year as well as a potential Fox adaptation, reports hollywoodreporter.com.
The new Luther-inspired album has a working title of "Murder Loves John".
"I'd like to dissect the idea of someone who has to deal with so much darkness," Elba said on BBC Radio 4's Front Row.
