"If the ordinance is nonsense", what is Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi's comment about the government, asked BJP president Rajnath Singh here Friday.
Dismissing Gandhi's comments, Rajnath Singh told reporters in Chennai: "I would like to ask Rahul Gandhi for his comments about the UPA government. If the ordinance is nonsense, then what is his comments about the government."
Singh said it is a well known that there are differences on the issue within the Congress and also between the Congress and its allies.
Rahul Gandhi Friday said the Manmohan Singh government was "wrong" in clearing an ordinance that seeks to save convicted lawmakers from disqualification and, in his opinion, the ordinance should be "torn up and thrown away".
