Inderjeet finishes 11th in shot put final at Worlds

Inderjeet Singh finished 11th in the men's shot put final at the World Athletics Championships at the Bird's Nest here on Sunday.

Inderjeet, who had finished an overall eighth in the qualifiers, could only manage a best effort of 19.52 metres in the title round.

American Joe Kovacs clinched the gold with a heave of 21.93m while David Storl of Germany (21.74m) and Jamaica's Richards O'Daynhe (21.69) took silver and bronze, respectively.
