"India has won," BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi tweeted Friday as his party appeared headed for a comfortable majority in the Lok Sabha.
"India has won. Bharat ki vijay. Achche din aane wale hain," the Gujarat chief minister said shortly after calling on his mother Hiraben.
Modi was the architect of an aggressive BJP campaign that left has virtually crushed the Congress, which ruled India for a decade from 2004.
