India's men's and mixed doubles teams fought well over three games, but could not in cross the line and Parupalli Kashyap lost his singles match against Rajiv Ouseph in straight games, 21-16, 21-19.
Chris Adcock was the star of England's doubles victories. He first won the mixed doubles with wife Gabriel against Jwala Gutta and Dewalkar 21-16, 15-18, 21-11 and then the men's doubles with Andrew Ellis, beating Dewalkar and Pranav Chopra, 12-21, 21-13, 21-16.
