A 56-year-old Indian gem trader fell to his death from the eighth floor of a condominium here Thursday.
His body was found in the parking lot on the fourth floor of the 15-storey Thai Sathit condominium in Samphanthawong district at around 6.20 a.m Thursday, the police said.
However, the police said there were no traces of a struggle in his room on the eighth floor of the condominimum and they believed that he fell from the balcony, Bangkok Post reported.
A tenant on the sixth floor said he heard a loud sound, like a heavy landing, not far beneath his room. A car alarm started blaring and he went to the parking lot to check over. He then found the man lying on the floor.
The police said they will examine closed-circuit security camera footage and are yet to rule out any motive behind the man's d0eath.
The Indian gem trader stayed with his son. His body was sent to Police General Hospital for an autopsy, the report said.
