Amidst a stand-off with China in the Doklam sector, a high-level government team is set to visit areas bordering China to assess the situation, informed sources said on Friday.
The team will also review the facilities given to army and paramilitary personnel posted on the border with China.
Security agencies have indicated a strong possibility of increased deployment and heightened activity of Chinese forces in the border areas, the sources said.
