Italian football club Inter Milan crashed out of the Europa League after letting a two-goal lead slip away as Hapoel Beer Sheva of Israel roared back in the second half to win 3-2.
Inter conceded three goals in the second half here on Thursday, including one in the third and final minute of stoppage time, as the Italian side lost for the fourth time in five games in Group K, reports Xinhua.
Inter played with freedom during the first half and deserved a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Mauro Icardi and Marcelo Brozovic.
However, Maranhao, Anthony Nwakaeme, from the penalty spot, and Ben Sahar gave Hapoel a stunning 3-2 turn back win.
The latest setback left Inter down and out on three points from five games, but breathed fresh hope into Hapoel's ambitions, who moved on to tie with second placed Southampton as both sides have accumulated seven points.
Southampton, who blew their chance of qualifying in the penultimate round with a 1-0 defeat against Czech club Sparta Prague also on Thursday, will fight against Hapoel Beer Sheva for the other qualifying berth.
Sparta Prague, who won four out of five games, have surely advanced to the knockout stage as the group leaders.
