An interactive wall climbing course with ropes has been launched in this suburb of India's financial capital Mumabi to engage children in interesting physical activities instead of their going into gaming arcades and amusement parks.

The facility launched by America's Let's Play Indoor Adventure Zone, acts as an alternative gym offering physical activities and exercise in a controlled environment with guaranteed unadulterated and stimulating fun for all ages.

"The concept for Let's Play was designed as a result of many children-led visits to other play centers, some of which offered unmemorable experiences from limited play facilities for children and indifferent catering for parents," Let's Play Managing Director Asim Valiani said in a statement on Tuesday.

"This prompted us to invest in providing relaxed and clean play centers that offer stimulating and thrilling activities for children, teenagers and adults," Valiani said.

"Parents are always concerned about allowing their children to play unsupervised and our world-class facility offers a safe and protective child-friendly environment for kids to play under the watchful eye of our trained and well-equipped staff," he added.

The one-of-a-kind, indoor, multi-level obstacle ropes course offers fun and adventure to all age groups to test their courage and help overcome fear while truly facilitating team building.

The combination of low and high ropes courses enables climbers to grow at both the team and individual levels by exploring leadership and communication concepts, problem-solving, and coaching.

The low ropes course focuses on collaboration -- the challenges call upon every member of the team to participate.

The high ropes course emphasises on risk-taking, trust and coaching. Players can participate in various team-building and interactive challenges such as "Climb the Façade", "Speed Competition Wall", "Spider's Web", "Fireman's Wall" and "The Labyrinth" to test their agility, strength and courage.
