Beirut, Nov 21 (IANS/EFE) The Islamic State (IS) Sunni radical group has executed six Syrians in the northern province of al-Raqaa after charging them with belonging to rebel factions, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) announced Friday.
The SOHR said that these people have been murdered on al-Saqeyi street in al-Rmeleh area of al-Raqaa, the IS main stronghold in Syria.
Clashes between the radicals and other Syrian insurgents have been taking place since January.
The rebels are fighting alongside the Nusra Front, the Al Qaeda affiliate in Syria, in order to expel the IS jihadis from the country.
On the other hand, the IS arrested one of its jihadis, who holds a foreign nationality, when he was trying to call his father from a booth.
The London-based NGO said, citing activists in the area, that the nationality of the 17-year-old jihadi has not been revealed yet, and added that he was calling to see how to return home.
The IS members beat him and confiscated his personal stuff before taking him to an unknown location.
The IS proclaimed in June a caliphate in the territories under their control in Syria and Iraq.
