The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has termed its win in Telangana as the people's victory.
TRS leader Harish Rao dedicated the victory to martyrs and people of Telangana. "This has increased responsibility on us. We will serve the people and work hard to make it a golden Telangana," said Harish Rao, who is nephew of TRS chief K. Chandrasekhara Rao.
He thanked people for reposing faith in the leader of KCR, as TRS chief is popularly known.
"It is due to the 14-year-long struggle of KCR and the party workers that separate state was achieved and now the party has come to power," he said.
Harish Rao said the Congress had to bite the dust as people did not believe its false claim that it was due to its efforts that Telangana state was formed.
Harish Rao evaded reply when asked about the role the TRS will play at the centre.
