Former Italy striker Alessandro Del Piero believes the present team has a clear vision and he would not be surprised if they win the forthcoming Euro 2016 despite not being the proclaimed favourites.
Italy kick-off their campaign against a strong Belgium side on June 14.
"Their team is solid and they have a clear vision. Unity of intent is fundamental. Everything is possible and that's especially true at the Euros, Denmark (1992 winners) and Greece (2004 champions) have taught us that," Del Piero was quoted as saying by football-italia.net on Wednesday.
The 41-year-old also joked and said he could have been an useful addition to Antonio Conte's outfit.
"It's a shame that Conte didn't call me up, I didn't expect that and I deserved better," the 2006 World Cup winner said.
"The Azzurri are in the ideal conditions. They are not the favourites, but they are under the right pressure."
