Actor Jake Gyllenhaal has bulged muscles to play a middleweight boxer struggling to make a comeback for his upcoming movie.
The 33-year-old, who lost nearly 14 kg to play an unhinged videographer in "Nightcrawler", has transformed himself again for the upcoming sports drama "Southpaw", reports people.com.
Directed by Antoine Fuqua, the film also stars Forest Whitaker, Rachel McAdams, Curtis Jackson and Naomie Harris.
"Jake is going to change how people see him. I had him training twice a day in the boxing ring," Fuqua told Deadline.com.
"We literally turned him into a beast," he added.
