Kingston (Jamaica), April 17 (IANS/CMC) Jamaican high jumper Damar Robinson has been banned for a year after testing positive for an illegal substance.
Chairman of the Jamaica Anti-doping Disciplinary Panel Kent Pantry handed down the sanction Wednesday following an in-camera hearing at the Jamaica Conference Centre, reports CMC.
Robinson's ban will be retroactive to June 16, 2013 when he provided the positive sample at Jamaica's national junior trials.
The 20-year-old, currently studying in the US, will be eligible to compete again June 17 later this year.
