Jamie Erlicht, Zack Van Amburg to lead Apple's video programming

Two of television's famed executives Jamie Erlicht and Zack Van Amburg will join Cupertino-based tech giant Apple to lead all aspects of its video programming worldwide.

Erlicht and Van Amburg Apple from Sony Pictures Television where they have served as presidents since 2005.

The duo has been responsible for some of the most popular and widely acclaimed programming of the past decade, including Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Crown and Rescue Me.

"Jamie and Zack are two of the most talented TV executives in the world and have been instrumental in making this the golden age of television," said Eddy Cue, Senior Vice President (Internet Software and Services) Apple in a press release.

Their roster of programmes have won 36 Emmys and dozens of Golden Globes, AFI and WGA awards.

"We want to bring to video what Apple has been so successful with in their other services and consumer products -- unparalleled quality," Erlicht said.
