Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida Tuesday visited the Delhi Metro, authorities said.

The minister travelled on the Metro from Central Secretariat in the heart of the national capital to Chawri Bazar in the north.

He then visited the Metro Museum at Patel Chowk.

Kishida, who is on his first visit to India, is here to attend the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM).

"The Delhi Metro Project is a symbol of Indo-Japanese collaboration," a statement said.

The Japan International Cooperation Agency has funded the Delhi Metro.
