Jayalalithaa drops transport minister

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa on Monday dropped Transport Minister V. Senthil Balaji from her council of ministers, a Raj Bhavan statement issued here said.

Industries Minister P.Thangamani has been allotted the transport portfolio.

Balaji has also been stripped of his party post. He was the party's secretary for Karur district.
