Airlines major Jet Airways Wednesday launched its inaugural flight from New Delhi to Ho Chi Minh City with its code-share partner Vietnam Airlines.
The flight will pass through Bangkok.
"The region is increasingly popular as a holiday destination and our flights will meet the increased demand for convenient travel options," said Gaurang Shetty, senior vice president (commercial), Jet Airways.
Ho Chi Minh City is Jet's 22nd international destination.
The new service follows the signing of a memorandum of understanding Sep 15 between Jet Airways and Vietnam Airlines, the flag carrier of Vietnam.
Jet said it had deployed a Boeing 737-800 next generation aircraft on this route, offering premiere and economy services.
