JLo sought advice from ex-husband before latest split

Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez turned to her ex-husband Marc Anthony before deciding to end her relationship with Casper Smart earlier this month.

The 44-year-old singer is said to have turned to Anthony, with whom she has six-year-old twins Max and Emme, before she decided to call time on her two-and-a-half-year-old relationship with the 27-year-old dancer, reports contactmusic.com.

"One person she got advice from is her ex Marc...He's been supportive and great through this all," a source told E! News.

However, despite their split, the "On The Floor" hitmaker is determined to stay friends with Smart as her kids have developed a bond with him.

"She will definitely still keep things civil and actually still loves him. The hard part is the kids love him too. He has become a part of her family," said the source.

"It's not going to be one of those breakups where you never see them together again," the source added.

The former couple was first linked together in November 2011, just a few months after the singer split from Anthony.
